Default Differences in high polished wheels from 2000 thru 2004???

After GM discontinued the "wagon wheels" in '99 and went to the thin spokes in 2000, were there any changes made to the high polished thin spokes between 2000 and 2004? Or are the high polished thin spoke wheels identical from 2000 through 2004?
Thanks for the info.

To the best of my knowledge the polished wheels are the same for the entire period.

It was the painted 5 spoke wheel that was changed in late 2000.

AFIK, the thin spoke wheels did not change during 2000-2004. But if you buy a set with sensors, there seem to be two types of C5 sensors:
1997-2001
2001-2004
You need the proper type of sensors that your car can be trained to recognize.

If you try to put a wheel sensor for a '97-'00 on a wheel that was meant to take a '01-'04 sensor you will have to shim it up some. The wheel is drilled a little different for the two sensors (info from HRE).

Thanks for the info. Can you explain how to "shim" the sensor up some to make a 2000 sensor fit on a 2001 wheel?
Thanks
Jason

When my wheels were mounted they used a washer with a rubber gasket on one side. Any distributor whose sells vette wheels should know about the washer I would assume, but we all know what assume means.

I had a 2001 Coupe
Bought a set of used 2000 wheels with no sensors
Bought a set of new 2001 sensors
Bought a set of winter runflats
Had the local tire shop put it all together, it was perfect and they didn't say anything about needing to shim the sensors. So the shimming must be pretty easy, or unnecessary.
