Tony I wish you luck if you think you can get a 6m car with that much HP hooked up on drag radials. To really get it hooked up you need a tall, soft tire and a lot of gear. :blueangel:

drag radials are a waste of time, but if your gonna get them go with the BFG's they hook much better.
Go with a set of 16" et streets

RAT, I had the 275 Nitto Drag Radials and could break below a 2.0 60foot. I then went with some 17x12 rims with the 315-35-17 BFG Drag Radials and I am now pulling 1.8 60foots. I think the BFGs are definitely a better drag race tire, but they are hard to get your hands on sometimes.
Either way, if you switch to Drag Radials, start saving for a new clutch!

Re: 315-35-17 Drag Radials (Ram Air Tony)
Tony, i have had them both, the nitto, and the bfg.i like the nittos alot better. they do not heat up quite as fast as the bfg's, but the difference is hardly noticed. maybe the difference in 8 seconds to 10. not much. and the nittos will last MUCH, MUCH longer. like i said ive had them both, the nittos are superior in traction and longevity.(and they look better).just my experienced opinion. hope i helped.Brad :seeya

Re: 315-35-17 Drag Radials (BKVIEW4U)
Nittos do last longer. I get about 90 runs, a total of about 400 miles out of them but to get them to work you have to BOIL them. The BFG are softer and faster but I only get about 75 runs out of a set.

Tony. If your serious about doing any racing a line loc is a must.
Availabilty with the BFGs are a big problem. I was only able to get 1 set of BFG last year and had to use 3 set of Nitto's. That one one of the big reasons I went to the 15" rims.

I ran a 1.68 with 275.40.17 Nittos last year with a 6 speed...but you will need line loc and you must boil them!!!
Thinking about switching to the 275.50.15's this year to see what a taller sidewall does for me.

A local tire guy at Corvettes at Carlilse had a set of 315's for only 159 each. That was Friday and he might have sold them already but I can check the guys phone number and you can call him up to see if he has them.
Send me an email if you are interested.
