I hope this doesn't sound too clueless but I have recently purchased my first Corvette. A 99 coupe with aprox 12K miles. It has the run flat tires. Is there any rough approximation what life expectancy (mileage) these tires are supposed to get. I know that there are always a lot of variables to be considered.
I bought my 98 Pewter coupe a year ago this month with 15000 miles on it and I just got rid of the run flats. the backs were original and had 23000 on them and they still had some tread left on them. However they were as hard as a rock and would break loose at the blink of an eye. Went to AVS Sports and love em. Enjoy the new car they are the best. :seeya
I have 12K on my runflats. At the current wear rate, I expect to get 35-40K miles out of them. I do not run hard or spin them on the street. Use another set of wheels and tires for the racing activities.
I have just under 23,000 on my '99 and need two tires. Both fronts are worn badly on the inside edge. One is cupped badly too.:bs I have Firestones on order from the tire rack :seeya
I got more than 19000 on my rear tires, and I'm currently at 25000 on the odometer with my 2000 Coupe. It kinda depends on how you drive. I didn't think I was real aggressive, but I do tend to take curves a little harder than I ever did before I got my Corvette. :D
