I decided to go with the Toyo RA-1's, will report on their performance as soon as I get them on.
If you're expecting performance on par with a Kumho or Hoosier DOT-R you're not going to get it. Also, if you didn't get the RA-1s shaved they're going to be pretty greasy feeling for the first while... atleast they felt that way the last time I ran them. Once they come in, though, they're just fine!
DOn't know about the Nitto's but be sure you are happy with the low treadwear rating for thos particular Toyos - I think it's like 100. Toyo makes some fine tires though, but those are meant to be sticky and thus won't last long.
You ask which you should go for.
Two people reply, both saying Nitto.
And you decide to go with the Toyo.
Why'd you even ask?

Because I also asked a co-worker who is semi pro Porsche racer who races with the POC. I also asked other people not on the forum, who recommended Toyo. FYI - Lou Gigliotti himself recommended another brand - imagine that, I asked other opinions
I just got them on my car yesterday and would be happy to let you know how they work for me. Thanks to all thay chimed in.

Just ignore that Rocco character
We would love to hear how your tires work out.
We also don't care what POC (Piece Of Crap) drivers have to say

I know thats why I hadn't brought it up- BTW he loves the Z06. The Toyos still have that slippery coating on em, haven't given them a burn out yet and its been raining in LA.
The 18's all around look AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Traction should not be an issue and you should have no problem in my opinion. The added torque will make the car much more fun. 1st gear is not used at all on either of those tracks.
Now the street? Thats a different issue....
Hi Lou!
I'm the guy you drove around with in Russ Oasis's Viper at Willow a month or so ago. Don't know how happy it makes me that you participate in the forums. I'm ditching the 346 to go with a 402, keeping the LG LT's of course!
I also got rid of the 19/20 combo and the car hooks much much better with the RA1's and 18 inchers.
