Wheel sizes on '06 Z06 and what to know to order them.
I have an 05 C6 Z-51 (not sure if the brakes matter?) and plan on putting the Z06 rear fenders on when I can afford them. My tires are going bad and I would like to get new tires and wheels in anticipation of the rear Z fenders coming later. I plan on getting rear wheels the same size as rear wheels for a Z06 even though they will stick out for now. As I understand the rears are 19X12".
Here are my questions:
First off, I don't know the backspacing or the lug size/pattern of the rear tires for the 2006 Z06. What measurements or specifications will I need to know before I can shop for wheels?
I am assuming that once I know the backspacing lug size/pattern will I be able to buy a wheel from any manufacturer with the proper backspacing/pattern/size to fit on the car. Am I right?
As for the front tires/wheels I plan on sticking to the same size as came from the factory. Can someone tell me the size I will need for them too?
If you are going with a custom wheel (iForged, HRE, CCW, etc) that should be all the specs you need. If you plan on using "big brakes" (Brembo, StopTech, C6 Z06 stock calipers) then you will need to inform the manufacturer of that so that the wheels can be cut properly.
If you are trying to order something "off the shelf" from one of the reproduction wheel type places then that will make it a little more difficult to match the stock specs, but not impossible. Just make sure you try to match the stock offsets as closely as possible.
I was just informed today that my new iForged wheels for my C6 Z06 were shipped today. I'll have them next week and will post some pics when I get them.
The wheel package isn't exactly the same as the Z06, but Z06 size tires fit fine. As best as I can tell from the thread, the secret was getting the back spacing exactly correct.

Now if only the offset & backspacing were listed there. :-)
