Default Costco and tire installation

I may go back with my Michelin PS ZP that I currently have and Costco has quoted a little over $1200.00 out the door with Road Hazard warrantee which is a pretty good price. However, I am not too sure if I trust Costco to install my tires. I did a search and saw that a few people on here have bought tires at costco and was just wondering what were your feelings. I got my last set at TireKingdom and some idiot farked up my rim by dragging a weight around it when they removed the tire. It took some doing but they finally bought me a new OEM rim from the local Chevrolet dealership.

I know it comes down to the person doing the work, but I'm pretty darn gunshy about getting tires after my last ordeal.

Last summer, I went to Costco and bought a set of Bridgestone Dueler Revo ATs for my 99 Silverado. Got a good deal as there was an $80 off sale on Michlien and Bridgestones. The installers did a great job and didn't scratch or ding up the factory alloy wheels at all. They used tape weights like I asked and the balance job is excellent.

If you have aftermarket wheels or pressure sensors, I would hang out by the shop to watch them do some aftermarket wheels to see if they take decent care of stuff like that.

If there's a Discount Tire nearby, you might check them out. They sell a lot of nice wheels so they have to do good work. See if you can get them to do a price match with Costco.

Alot places can't do runflats because they need special equipment to do it even only certain Goodyear Tires shops can work with run-flats because of the equipment. I don't know how costco is with something as complex as this or if they have the special equipment or even have metal valve stems but all cars will be having these sensors. For a regular high performance tires they are great. Now if you are installing tires that are not runflats I don't know good luck
