Default Need some advice on Drag Tires

I've given up all hope of getting a pair of BFG drag radials. They are on a nationwide stock out.

What are your suggestions for a substitute? I plan to only use them at the track, and I have a set of stock Y2K rims. I want to avoid having to heat up the tires before each run.

What are the widest tires I can put on the 17" and 18" rims and still be safe at the track?

Anyone use these tires for the drag strip?
Kumho VictoRacer V700
Kumho ECSTA V700
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A R1
Nitto NT-555R Drag

I've heard the nitto's require a lot of heating up, and they only come in 17". The others come in 18", and that allows me to use a wider tire.

Thanks!

Disregard. I'm selling my extra set of rims and will not be getting drag tires any time soon. Thanks!

Just picked up a pair of Forgeline 18x11 rims with BFG 335/30/18 ZR on them from J99FRC. Can't wait to get to the track to test them out!!!
