Default Powdercoat sawblades?

I have a 96 and some of the clear is peeling off of the sawblades. I was trying to decide what to do as a fix. I love the look of some of the rims available (specifically like a friends set of Budnik wheels) but am not ready to go that route yet due to cost. I was thinking of perhaps getting the sawblades painted or powdercoated to see how it turned out. I have a white coupe and was thinking of getting them done black.

Between the two options, powdercoating is more durable right? Any idea what this might run? Anyone out there done this?

Thanks in advance,
Rob
