Default Toyo Proxes T1-S (Good Deal?)

Front: 265/40ZR17
Rear: 295/35ZR18

Mounted and balanced: ~$840
Is that a good deal or can I buy them cheaper online somewhere?

That's a good price. I bought a 275/40 front instead of a 265/40, so I don't know how much that would affect price. I ended up paying close to $800 shipped.

Where did you get your tires from?

I bought mine at www.onlinetires.com. I had a good transaction with them, but I've heard of others that had troubles with them so be warned.

Thanks Admiral. The Proxes T1-S come out to $763, including shipping, for my Z06. That is not a bad price. Bummer to hear that folks have had problems with them. I'll keep that as an option but more than likely will get tires from TireRack. I've never had a problem with them.

Unfortunatelly, Tire Rack does not sell Toyo. For an explanation look here:

I read that thread about TireRack selling them and the thread about the hassles with onlinetires.

I called a local Colony Tire place. They give our club a 10% discount and have pretty good prices. He quoted me $880. That's tires, tax, mount and balance. And free lifetime balance and rotation. So I may take him up on that if I don't try the new Wide Ovals or just get another set of MX's. It's nice to have options...

FWIW I purchased a set of Toyo T1-s tires from www.Treadepot.com about a year ago.
Good price, fast service, nice to deal with, tires came fully boxed....
Oh yea, and I've been very happy with the tires too!!
