Default Tire Pressure, I know it's been beat to death

But can anyone shed any light on what my pressures should be? I just put on 4 new 275/40 17 inch Goodyear GSD-3 's. I have heard so many opinions on this subject, I would like some advice from some folks running the same tire as me. Sorry for asking this question again, I know it has been discussed before, but I just couldn't get a straight answer from the search I did! Any help would be appreciated.

You should run the recommended tire pressure that is normally posted on the door sticker regardless of the what tire you run. Pressures posted on the tire are max pressure ratings.

I agree. While I don't run your tire (I have Yokohama AVS Sports) I do run 30 lbs. on all 4 corners cold.

I too have the same question. The shop that put my GSD3's on said to run them at 30-32lbs. I just had the alignment checked yesterday and the guy told me to run them at 45lbs . I left the shop and all the sensors starting giving High Pressure errors. He said I'll get better tire wear with the higher pressure.

Your tire shop is correct. The alignment shop is incorrect.

Thank you. 30-32 it is then, which is what I was running anyway before the alignment guy cranked them up

In the Arizona heat I run 28 lbs. They get up to around 32 after just a few miles.
