Default Please help with a tire balance problem

I just purchased a brand new set of chrome motorsport wheels from houseofwheels(Bob). As soon as I got these wheels, I had them put on.
One problem, the steering wheel shakes(like the wheels are out of balance, the steering wheel shakes, not in the rear of my seat). So I figure that it must be the balance. Here is where another problem arises, the wheels are already balanced from before. So I go to another shop and put the wheels on a different balance machine, and guess what? The wheels are balanced. I then proceeded to hit the highway, and accelerate to 65. The wheel then begins shaking back and forth.
My question is...
How do I solve this?
Does anyone have any idea's to help me?
The wheels did look symetrical.
I have hit nothing, and the wheels are brand new.
I used the same tires and I have done nothing to the car since the old z06 wheels were taken off(they rode perfect).
Nothing is wrong with the car.
I put the stock z06's back on and the car rode perfect, so obviously, it's the wheels, I just wonder how I can fix the shaking.
One more thing that adds mystery to the story, the wheel shaking comes and goes!
Sometimes it will shake profusely, then at other times it will not shake a bit, all of this at 65+ mph.
Please help.
Justin

You may have a wheel that is not true (wobbles) or there is something that is keeping the wheel mounting flange from sitting flush on the hub.

The tire shop can easily spin the wheel/tore combination and check for lateral runout.

the 2 locking clips that gm uses to hold the rotor on during assembly.could it be possible they could be making your wheel not to fit true against the hub?

Maybe

well the wheels are made to where you can keep those locking clips on the rotors.

its not the wheels, it the tires.

I had the same problems with my KUMHO MXs, they tend to flat spot after sitting for 8 hours or so, but as soon as they warm up Shaking will go away.

I went with different tires (mich PS) and they shaking is gone!!!

I did balance the wheel and tires and 3 different shop (all were using ROAD FORCE MICHINE TO BALANCE THEM ) but they were still go OUT OF BALANCE!!!

That is very strange and does not make sense because...
The tires worked fine the day before or should I say, the hour before the wheel change.
I did reuse the tires that were on the car.
They worked fine on the previous wheels.
Like I said it comes and goes, and there isn't a factor involved that determines how bad the wheel shakes, because I have sped up, slowed down, and tried just about everything, but cannot figure out what is causing the wheel to shake.

remove the stud clips because not all wheels are made with the recess for them

These wheels are.
I made sure to check for the indentions.
They are made by www.factoryreproductions.com
Would they still need to be removed?
Thanks

remove them they serve no purpose at this time and it eliminates 1 possible source of your problem
