Default What's the difference in these tire sizes?

What's the difference in these two tire sizes?

295/35/18
295/30/18

This would be mounted on a 18x10.5 on a C4 (originally 17" rims)

They have the same width (295mm), but different aspect ratios so one will be taller than the other. I would recommend that you go with the 295/35/18 size. That is what I'm using on my '94 with no problems. By the way just in case you wanted to know the 295/35 will have a dimeter of 26.1" and the 295/30 will have a diameter of 25.0". Your stock tires were probably closer to 26" diameter hence my recommendation.

Thanks thats what I was wanting to know. I knew the 35 was the stock size, but was looking at a set of cheap 30's and didn't know what the difference was.

No problem. Are you also going to use Z06 wheels? One thing I would change if I could do it over would be to use 18s up front as well instead of the 17s.

Just to add....the 295/35 tire measurement means that the sidewall on that tire in 35% of the 295mm width. The 295/30 measurement means that the sidewall on that tire is 30% of the 295mm width.
