Default Tire Pressure Monitors - Life?

Hi all,
How long is it estimated that the Tire Pressure Monitors last? (2001 Style Sensors)
Assuming driving the car a few days a week and storing over the winter months (December-April)

My tires (2001 Corvette - Approx. 19,000 miles) will need to be replaced soon (within 1,000-2,000 miles) and I am trying to determine If I just need to replace sensors at the same time or wait until they die.

Thanks,

The general expected battery life of the tire pressure sensors run between 7 and 8 years. If you want to keep your existing sensors you can simply change the battery within each sensor. I have a 2000 coupe that was built in 1999. I finally switched to new sensors when i bought my CCW's, but the original sensors were still fine at that point. You should have a good 3-4 years left in your sensors. If you want to buy a new set of sensors, the price is around $275 for a set of four (2001 model year and up).
