Are you getting a C6 Z06 Ranger? If so, what are you doing w/ your current Z?
May I also ask what it cost you?
Hi Ron.
I've been #1 on the C6-Z06 list at a large Mid-West dealer for the past 18 months and hope to take delivery August. The deal is for MSRP, whatever that turns out to be.
As for my black/black 02, I plan to sell it outright at the last minute or, failing that, to trade it in to my selling dealer. It's been a great car. Original owner. clear title. Full documentation. All stock. 27K miles, no breakage, no accidents, no bodywork, new stock tires, new stock clutch...never smoked in, fast....I could go on. Know anyone that's interested?

Take care,

Sorry Ranger, I don't know of any one right now, but I will keep your car in mind if I hear of anyone!
So, what ever MSRP may be. That's leaving your self open to a large window, no?
I want a new C6Z as well, but I'm afraid of the 1st model year. I also don't want to pay $75-80K as they're rumored to be going for. I hope you DO know that's possible.
I can't wait for you to report back on your track results. I hope you plan on running street tires as well as the BFG's.
I'll wish you a pre-emptive good luck with it. Oh, what color did you order?
Ron
I suspect Chevy will continue to give us great value and will price the car in the 60s with all the options. As always, if I don't like the price I can decline the car. I'm comfortable with Team Corvette engineering rigor; so I'm not afraid of a first year Z.
I'll have the C6Z at the track on both stock tires and DR on paper tags. Have decided the color yet, but probably silver or red.

Go with the Silver..I'm done w/ black as well..My Z would have been Silver if I hadn't had 2 silver cars in a row.Black makes me crazy trying to keep it clean. I hope you're RIGHT about the new Z price!!!
Ron
House of Wheels (Bob) is having a GP in the C5 parts fs section for these in 18x12 rear and 17 or 18x 8.5 or 9.5 front for $999 full set. They aren't polished but they are chrome. Got my rear ones delivered last Thursday, fronts should be here Monday. Does not include sensors. awesome rims.
