Default Kumho MX's for an all around tire?

Curious if anyone has these, I will be using them for a few times to the drag, a few auto x events, and alot of driven on the street.

285/40/17 on all four corners.

I looked around, And they looked like a good tire for the price, I cant afford a real pricey tire.

Had them on my old C4 and i have them on the front of my current C4. Great tires.

Tread life sucks if you drive aggressively, and they don't grip particularly well on a hard launch. That said, they're cheap and grip like all heck around corners. At a track, they performed extremely well, although I thought the tires don't really lend themselves to a razor-sharp feel on initial-turn-in. That may just be me, though.

Great tires for the money.

I have a set for my 87 that I run in the summer. I have done both autocross track days on them and they have very good grip and won't lose their grip without you're knowing it. No squeal to them but they do wear fairly quickly.

I'm not sure if I would drive them hard on really wet pavement but they are well worth the money for the tire you get. The BF Goodrich KD's may be a stickier tire, but at a much higher cost and they really aren't a wet weather tire.

u guys recommend a tire in the 285/40/17 size that is at a reasonable price for track, road, and auto cross events?

i thought the MX would be a good tire for the 1/4 mile no?

Good to see you again! You keepin' this one on the asphalt, guy?

I have the MX's on mine. It's street driven. I like the tires.

Don't think for a minute that they are a drag radial.... they are not.
My stock motor can light 'em up all too easily on a hard launch.

They do have good side-grip, are quiet, and priced right. They have a very minor flat-spotting issue, but that is nothing to worry about.
