Default What about OEM reconditioned wheels?

OK, after further research, I see several vendors offer "OEM reconditioned" rims. Some offer a lifetime structural warranty. Are these rims different from replica rims? Are they any better? How close are they to the original manufacturers' rims (standards)?

Thanks.

Reconditioned = Scotch Tape and Elmer's Glue????

I wouldn't rsik it. Rims are too crucial for safety.

WheelFixIt in Huntsville, Al. just straightened a wheel of mine for $125. Actually, they didn't straighten it too well. I had to get HubCap Annie in Nashville, Tn. to redo it. HubCap Annie has the correct equipment and did a much better job plus got rid of curb rash for a lot less money. Moral: take wheels to a repair shop and have them put on a lathe to check for trueness.
