Default help 1/4 wheels and tires?

Hey fellas I need your experiance and help. My 01 Z runs at the 1/4 with BFGR DR 295x35 18 on wagon wheels and I run on the street with Z06 repo chromeis (heavy). I can do low 1.8 60' with the DRS on wagon wheels, but I want more. I have a set of OEM 02 Z rims too, what is best and any ideas?

o Run 315 30 18s (need to buy them) on the OEM rears 10.5 rears and OEM fronts?
o Run the 295 35 18s (less mass, will it help?) on the OEM rears 10.5 rears and OEM fronts?
o Run the 17 fronts on the rears with ET streets (what size? good place to buy?) with chrome 17 fronts
o Run 18 wagon wheels with current DRs and OEM fronts and launch it @ 4000 instead of 3500?

Help any ideas??? Thanks in advance!
Dave

use a smaller diameter wheel and launch at a higher RPM .... of course with the right tire ... the smaller diameter wheel will allow for a taller sidewall which will be more capable at absorbing the shock of the launch

Your stock 17s are 9.5" so you can run 275/40 tires. The taller sidewall may help in the traction department, but at the same time you're giving up considerable width.

Thanks for the responses! I did order and received some MT Sts, 245 70 17 for oem front Z06 Rims. I did not get a chance to mount or run them yet. I did run yesterday and was running solid 1.83, 1.84 60s all day on 18 9.5 wagon wheels with BFG DR 295 35... I was running them @ 17 PSI and they hooked well but I did spin them once. Last run and the pit was dry, so I had a crappy burn put. I tried launching lower and I spun to a 1.95. These have very little left on them so I gues it was time for new DRs. I have a line lock now, hopefully it will be installed for Sunday T&T. I will post up results. Thanks again for the support and responses.
