Default Will 17 x 11 fit 1995

I am sure this topic has been beaten into the ground but I cannot find the search option anywhere on the forum today.

I have a 1995 and am looking at new wheels. Can I use 17x11 on the rear? If anyone has done this please post pics.

Here are specs from ebay:

17" x 9.5" (+56mm offset with 7.4" backspacing) rims for the front and two 17" x 11" (+50mm offset/7.93" backspacing) for the rear.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

They will work because those are the GS offsets, which is what you need. There are plenty of members out there with those wheels so someone will probably post a pic soon. The rears will stick out 1/4" to 1/2". You can either put on the GS flares if it bothers you or leave it alone.

Sweet car! What size wheels do you have on the back?

Thanks for the compliments. Out back I have stock Z06 wheels, 18x10.5" with 295/35/18 tires. They fit perfect.

So what would happen if I tried to use original 11" ZR-1 sawblades with the wrong offset? I know they would stick out, but would there be any other problems? Handling? Safety?

They will stick out considerably, to the point where it would be illegal. Remember the ZR-1 was 3" wider to accomodate these wider wheels and tires. The handling would be ok. You can probably use GS fender flares to help cover them. Personally I would just go with the 50mm GS offset.

Here's a pic of 17x11s on my 91. It should give you a good idea how far they stick out. I'd expect it to be similar on your car.
