lawsuit against SpeedDirect, think I will win?

The only winners in a lawsuit are the lawyers. I would exhaust every other possibility before going down that road. And once you start paying a lawyer, the money you paid for the seats is going to look like pocket change.

Seats
Corbeau sells their own seat brackets for '77 C3s: http://www.corbeau.com/service/seat_brackets/. Yes i would contact Corbeau - they should have the know how/tech support for the C3 installation.
The stock C3 seat for my '74 year is just plain ugly and without good ergonomics. Personally i never liked any of the Corbeau seats either as not a good style/match for the C3 and too expensive for me. But am interested now as u say they look great. If u do finally install them please post pictures.
If u really like the seats then a lawsuit would be last resort.

Credit card charge back is the answer assuming you are within the time frame to do so and assuming you are correct regarding your side of the story. I believe it's 90 days to charge an item back. To file a law suit you must be able to show damages and you basically have none other than some minor inconveniences. Besides, for something like this, I doubt you'd want to hire a lawyer as they charge several hundred $ per hour. Cost of going to court is mucho thousands.

Well if the seats just dont fit and are not adjustable u should return them. U need to negotiate but if they are not a correct product the vendor will continue to sell them until he becomes fully aware of the problem.
I would see if the vendor can refund your monies or if the vendor has other parts he will swap for the correct value of the seats or finally the credit company will support u. Negotiation would be cheaper for most of us.
Good luck,

What exactly doesnt fit? do the holes not line up perfect with the holes in the floor? Isnt one of the holes slotted to adjust position? or are the bolts too big around for the holes? If not and thats the case its easy enough to just take a round file and elongate the hole to fit correctly right? My take on the situation is if GM panels and parts dont always fit right on these cars because of manufacturing variances, I would hardly expect other aftermarket parts to be a perfect fit on every corvette.

I happen to know sweet76 that got banned from the forum. He doesn't understand why he got into trouble for trying to warn the original poster about talking about a forum vendor. He had mentioned something about a problem he had and was warned not to do it again.
He's alright though, He has really been into Olds 442's since owning one in high school. He bought a nice 455 W30 a while back but recently found a 1967 black on black on black 4 speed w30 442 in pristine condition and loaded plus 4 speed. I guess the76 Vette will be history. Oh well.

He also doesnt get to keep bashing that member, vendor or not, in subsequent threads.
This isnt about vendors, its about placing complaint threads regarding any member where they belong, and not carrying them on beyond that including interfering with sales threads.
Furthermore, if your "friend" comes back to the forum, "he" can get explanations for any problems he has with the rules by PMing a moderator, as opposed to questioning them in the open forum.
