Default Please please please help!!!!!! [Issue with user Mattraffai]

I bought a set of trickflow 225 heads off an ebay member. Turns out he is also a corvette forum member for about a yr and a half also. Apparantly Im not the only one that has had a problem with this guy trying to steal their money, i just wish i would have read all they write ups about this guy prior to buying the heads and sending this guy money. ANY HELP WOULD GREATLY BE APPRECIATED!!! I really want the heads, thats why i bought them, if the seller is willing to just ship me the heads I would be INCREDIBLY HAPPY, if not i just want my money back!!! If anybody can help here let me know.
Here's all his info.
Corvette forum user name: Mattraffai
His names: Matt
His address is: 9360 E Paseo Tierra Verde, Tucson, Arizona 85749
His phone numbers are: (520) 302-3698
(520) 245-1819

Heres all his profile info: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...attraffai.html

Im calling Matt out because I feel like he has royally screwed me and has stolen from me. I have tried to contact him MANY times and sometimes he responds and sometimes he doesnt. He has sent me emails saying that he has shipped the heads, has told me on the phone he shipped the heads but has not provided me a tracking number ever, has changed his story multiple times, and has completely stopped answering the phone now. I simply want what i paid for or my money back. I have been extremely patient and now that patients has run smooth out. I CAN NOT STAND A THIEF!!!!!

If anyone wants specific details or has any information please by all means give me a call 903-870-8076 or email me superchevy32@yahoo.com, i have proof from multiple buyers whom he has screwed over, emails, pictures of his cars, pictures of his house, and a whole lot more info.

PLEASE HELP ANYONE, IT WOULD SAVE ME A DRIVE TO TUCSON.

I don't know anything about this guy, but I hope he delivers what he is supposed to.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear. I don't have much to offer other than saying "good luck".

Be careful if you go pay the guy a visit. Might want to take one of the local constabulary with you.

I would suggest that you try to get your money back through ebay or paypal if that's what you used. Thats probably going to be your best bet! Good luck and sorry about the BS your going through!

Did you use a card? Call the card company - the BS stops at that point.

I did use a card, my debit card, I'm working that side. This is more about principle now. I want the heads that I paid for like a good person does, I have a motor waiting on those an I want the guy to make good on the deal he made. I won an auction ligititametly an I want what i expected to recieve.

There's a thread about him in the Transactions Feedback forum. Seems his ex-girlfriend was using his logon username to steal money from folks here on the forum and on ebay.

Not sure what your next step should be.

I have researched that thread an many others about him. An I would completely understand that, only problem with that story is I personally have talked to him 5 times on the phone. The latest was yesterday where he claimed to have shipped the heads. He claimed to have shipped the many times now. He promised me a tracking number an I got nothing. An today I have tried to call him many many times on both numbers an he doesn't answer. I have sent him multiple emails an for nothing back. He said who he was on the phone yesterday so I know it was him. Trust me I have patiently waited for over a month for this deal to go through to give him time to order his new heads an get them on his car because it was his daily driver.

If you believe you have been defrauded, you have the option of filing a complaint with an appropriate local law enforcement agency. This seller appears to be in Tucson, AZ. Here's a link to the Tucson Police Department website page where you can file reports:

http://tpdinternet.tucsonaz.gov/Repo...port-crime.htm

You also can file a complaint at the federal level. IC3 is the agency that handles fraud complaints involving Internet transactions:

http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Another option may be to pursue a small claims court lawsuit, although that can be difficult if you are not in the jurisdiction of the seller. In this instance, the court of jurisdiction appears to be in Pima County. Here's a link to their site with details on how to proceed:

http://www.jp.pima.gov/Pages/SmallClaims/NewSmallClaim/

I'm going to move this thread to the Transactions Feedback section and will close it. If there are others who have lost money with this seller, please let me know by PM and I can start a group e-mail list you can use to coordinate your efforts to pursue the matter.

If there are updates to the situation, let me know via PM and I'll be glad to add the updated information to this thread.

I've heard from another user who says he has had issues with items offered by mattraffai on eBay.

We blocked mattraffai from posting sale threads at Corvetteforum until he addressed the issues with superchevy32. When he refused, he was banned from the site.

If he continues to sell the same parts on eBay without delivering them, then the issue needs to be addressed with eBay. And, as I poseted earlier, if you believe you have been defrauded, you should pursue the matter with the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

If there are others who have experienced problems with mattraffai, let me know via PM and I'll set up a group e-mail list so you can work together on addressing the issue.
