Default [Texas] State Inspection and the Learn Mode

Learned something today. Took the Vette in for an oil change, State inspection, and to have the electric door lock switch replaced. I guess they unhooked the battery to work on the switch (thank you) and then tried to perform the inspection. Long story short, the inspection computer cannot perform all of its tests while the auto's computer is in the "learn" mode. I was instructed to "drive the car for a while" and then bring it back in.

Related: They tried to charge me for the inspection, I won that battle.

Thanks for the heads up. My inspection is due this month as well. No work needs to be done to it (or anything that requires unhooking the battery) as of now, but a heads up nonetheless.

I had the same thing happen. Took it in for a warranty battery replacement and inspection, but they could not do the inspection.

I seem to remember that the car has to have a minimum of forty miles AND several cycles before it will satisfy the LEARN process.
