Default corvettes against cancer update

Hi all....Sorry about the delay but things have been happening. I may have or may not have mentioned that I am again this year doing the caravan around the North end of the Phoenix Valley. For those of you that are familiar with that, we will be leaving from Cocomo Joe's parking lot between 9:30 and 10am on the morning of Sunday April 4th. We will be going out the Carefree Highway to I-17 north to New River Road, from there we will take New River Road winding around through the mountains and desert back to Carefree Highway again and then the return to Cocomo Joes. The show and shine will start at our return. The management of Cocomo's is going to fence off the entire parking lot this year with beer, (in plastic bottles only!!) soda, water, and food that will be available outside. There is talk about a mechanical surf board being set up as well. Let me tell you if you have never tried one of those they are a blast. There will be live entertainment again this year provided by 2 bands, that at this time will remain unmentioned until final details are worked out with them. As always there will be the usual security presence there as well.
Sun Country Corvettes of Phoenix, AZ has allowed me the web space to provide an on line application anyone wishing to sign up can do so at: http://www.suncountrycorvette.com/co...cancer2004.htm
print the application and follow the mailing instructions on the application.

Thanks again to all that have contributed and participated in the event and I am looking forward to seeing you all this April.

Count my wife and I in-in-IN. This sounds like such a great event, and the fact that it's a charity thing makes it all the more better...

The application fee is $20 per car but there will be a collection jar on site for those that would like to make an additional donaiton. I just left a meeting with the first band to take the stage. The Wild Angels Band has agreed to preform the first set of the day. These are 2 extremely talented young ladies with a teriffic back up band. They do covers as well as origional material. I also had a meeting with the Cocomo corporate staff and we have decided to have a 50/50 raffel again this year. I have the awful task if interviewing some pretty ladies that will be walking around rather scantly cladded again this year selling tickets. So guys have your money ready because I think that these women will somehow con some money out of you to buy a ticket. :smash: More info to follow as soon as it becomes available.
