HOUSTON - Knapp Chevy Body Shop - are they good?

I have some rather extensive repairs needed, and the car is currently at Knapp Chevrolet. I have had great experiences with their service department so far, but I want to be sure they can fix the car right at the body shop. Are there any people in particular who work there that are knowledgeable and helpful I can talk to? My current contact there is new and doesn't seem very knowledgeable. thanks

I get all my body work done at Richey Collision. Just picked up the wife's 69 yellow convertible last night to get it ready for Autorama.

I've never heard anything bad about Knapp, but have not heard anything good either. You'd be the forum guinea pig.... lets us know how it turns out.:D

Richey Road Collision has done many forum member's Corvettes. The 1 complaint I read about over the past 4 years was taken care of immediately by the them, to the car owner's 100% satisfaction. It was a paint match problem and a very minor problem at that. Only 1 complaint and about 30+ non-complaints about them. This is the only place I would take my Corvette in Houston.

Rumor is Corvettes of Houston uses them........ have you ever seen the C5 showroom cars at COH?? Flawless.

You are correct. COH has used Richey Collision frquently. I've had work done there several times. Chris and Karen stand 100% behind their work. :yesnod:

If I needed body work on my vette, I would take it to Richey Road. Sorry, I haven't heard anything about Knapp Chevy.
