A couple of friends and I are getting a Corvette club started down here in Granbury, and we want to invite you to our first meeting this Friday (6/13) at 7:00 at the 377 Grill (where they have the car shows). It's easy to find, just take Hwy. 377 south to Granbury, and the Grill is on the left (south) side of the road after you've passed the Ford dealership and before you get to the GM dealership.
My starting point for the club is to be a social and technical organization, but we'll see how it goes. It won't be a NCCC sanctioned club, unless we get the required number of members. For those with a hankering for autocross events, I've already contacted the BMW and PCA organizations to see if we could piggy-back on their events, and they said they'd be more than happy to see us. They run out at Mineral Wells.
Anyway, I'll be working up a starting charter, figure out dues, what we're going to do with the dues (insurance, name tags, etc.) but thought that I'd get the word out now.

We're in! Although we live in Midland, we have a lake place in Granbury and will be there this Friday, the 13th. See you at the 377 Grill (without one of our corvettes however as we have one of the kids with us this weekend). :seeya

Hey, Tim, sorry we didn't connect this time. Terry's correct for our typical meeting time & date, but the next time we're going to get together is for the July 4th parade through the square. I'm working right now trying to get us entered in the parade. Usually the parade starts at 10:00, and afterwards we're going to the 377 Grill for a get-together and lunch.
[EDIT] Well, we didn't get into the parade this year, they're already booked solid. So, let's go with our standard meeting time and place, 2nd Friday in July (7/11/03) at the 377 Grill.

Tammy & I had a great time with you guys! Shame the 4th Parade is already booked, but not a surprise. We will be at the lake from July 2nd thru 6th, but will be cruisin with the Permian Basin Corvette Club on the 11th on their First Annual Topless Cruise Nite. Hey Tim - sorry you missed the first meeting. I told the group there was a guy with great looking torch red C5 that I had met last year and wondered if you were still around! Mike - if something comes up for the 4th holiday, send us an email. :cheers:
