[All SW people...Vegas trip?]

Just curious.....my friend Pam and I usually pay a visit to Vegas at the end of summer (1st or 2nd week of August). Anyone else usually go or maybe planning a trip up there around that time this year? Might be fun to hang out with some other vette nuts. We usually stay at Mandalay Bay, but are flexible. If anyone is interested let me know.....might be able to make a small cruise out of it?? :steering: :party: :cheers:

I have a trip planned out to Vegas August 1 - 4. Haven't quite decided on a hotel yet. A bunch of people I went to high school with in Germany are all meeting up out there for a sort of mini-reunion since we all live in different parts of the US. Most of them are broke scrubs and can't afford a nice hotel, so I think I might be somewhere different than they are, but the trip is definitely on. I'm glad they voted to have it in Vegas so in case I get sick of them, I can go do fun stuff without them. As far a a cruise, I plan to fly. The drive from Houston is too far.

I know Aug. kind of sucks, but you can get cheaper rooms there then because it's so hot that nobody likes to go then. Personally....I say the hotter the better!! It doesn't matter if some of you farther away fly, it would still be fun to hang out for a few days. See....I go back to school in Aug. and my :party: time is going to come to a screaching halt!! :cry So for me, it's Aug. or not at all.....and I'm definitely going, just wondering who else will be there and when. I can't go in July because I'm going to see a few friends in Austin. :hurray: Keep the ideas coming guys!!

Funny that you bring this up. The g/f and I just planned a Labor Day weekend trip for Vegas, staying Fri/Sat/Sun night. Going to see Zumanity (New Cirque show at NY-NY) on Saturday night and Mystere on Sunday night.

We're staying at Treasure Island.

Since this was my idea and I'd be putting this thing together, I'm thinking that if we get enough interest we may be able to get a discount on our rooms....maybe do a small Vette show for the hotel in exchange for the discount? Someone mentioned the first weekend of August.....that works for me....any other takers? Those of you that are willing to come but fly....the more the merrier!!

We were thinking of going up in the end of September. They usually have a NASCAR truck race and an IRL race at that time of the year.

Anyone interested in the end of September ???

P.S. We most likely will have something BIG for September 13th in the AZ area.

Putting something together in Austin would be great!! :hurray: I would love to meet you Texans, since I'm thinking of moving there and all....might be the thing that makes or breaks my decision!! :lol: If you get something together, let me know. I'll be arriving July 23rd and I'll be leaving July 30th. I wont have my Vette, but that's o.k.....I'll just have to admire all of yours!! :lol:

Make sure your A/C is working. It is friggin hot in August! They do have C5 converts to rent on the strip in case you have to fly. About 200 a day.

heck, that ain't nothing...we have been over 110 for a week this year.
But then it cooled off to about 100 this week....almost sweater weather... :D
