Are we friends on Facebook or are you in the Central Texas Corvettes group?

I have only driven it once. If needed I can lead providing no one gets upset with me if I miss a turn or have to double back. If someone with more experience comes along, I'll be happy for them to lead.

Should be good after Christmas since there should be less motorcycle traffic.

I live in Lakeway outside of Austin and as Cozmo says, he has a ranch home 2 minutes outside of Kerrville. I have a route that I'll post. We stopped for buffet lunch about halfway (I think it was Camp Wood, but maybe Cozmo remembers) but its a pretty remote part of Texas, so don't expect anything great.

Kerrville pretty much has everything. We stayed at the YO ranch hotel which is not cheap. But there are other chain motels around there that looked pretty nice.

I'll print off a bunch of copies of this map so all the cars have a idea of where we will be heading as we go along.

The Corvetteforum Rally Relay Banner will be there as well as the placards for all the cars who come.

Please reply to this thread if you plan on coming and I'll keep a updated list in this top box.

We probably are, but I'm on the Centex corvette group, and sweet rides. Did you go to COTA with us on sat? PM me and I'll give you my FB link.

I can probably get a lead car or whatever else we might need, if you like

You will have fun. Spent a couple of days down there in early September. Watch for deer, especially after dark. Love the run between Leaky and Vanderpool.

I didn't go to COTA with the group. I wanted to, but we just bought a house in Kerrville and have been going out there on the weekends. I may have a happy hour there after the drive. I'll create a FB event on the central Texas Vette group.

A stop off after the run would be nice before the 4 or 5 hour run back to Plano. I am pretty sure my hat will stay on up to 120 with the top down. as for food stops Im up for anything but fish or goats

Good job. I changed my oil yesterday, checked coolant and tires and cleaned the filter on my Halltech CAI.

If you have a two way radio, bring it. Great for communicating on a cruise.

The Italian place came highly recommended. I had lunch at Buzzys BBQ in Kerrville today. It was good.

I'm kinda liking the idea of the Italian place for lunch then Buzzys BBQ after the drive for BBQ and/or a cold one. They have some very tender brisket. The owner said he'd put us up in a nice private room.

I've wanted to make this trip for some time. Sounds like a good time to do it. The wife and I will likely drive to Kerville Friday and stay to Sunday.
I'm 75% in at this point. I can bring at least three motorola radios.

Awesome! I've got a Moto as well. We can pick a channel at the meet.

We had Motorola GPRS radio. Other brands will work I think as long as the are the GPRS type.

I am not going on this run, but would like to see your reviews on the road conditions after you go. The roads had loose gravel and not in the best of shape back in January. Please post your stories after the run. Thanks.
