San Antonio roll call

Just got back from Biff's. I arrived at 6:45 and everything except the last parking row next to Topperwein was blocked off. Must have been a few hundred people there. I was just too late. Came home.
Not sure when to get there now. Pretty early.

Most everyone has those folding chairs and sit in a group. I am sure anyone would be welcome to sit down with any group and just listen to the current topic of conversation. Lots of new people greeting and sitting with mixed groups, too.
It is all paved and it is hot. I mean hot. Not Arizona hot but hot. Most people raise their car hoods so they can sit in the shade cast by the car. Much better as the sun goes down. No bathrooms unless you go to Biffs or one of the places closer to IH35 across the alley way.
I left around 7:00 and the police were controlling the entry unless you were buying a place to park. (I arrived before the police were in place and did not pay. Next time I will buy a ticket.)
I hope to be there next Friday and be more prepared.

This isn't my car, but I had my 3-year-old pose next to it. Also, the lady that owned the pink Blazer let my daughter sit in it. She was so excited.
I'm going to try to make it out there tomorrow to see what kind of turn out there is.

I wasn't able to make it to Slim Chickens Saturday but most of those cars belong to my car club (Classic Street Knights). The manager told us she is going to have this event every month...I will be at the next one in May. The Cavender Carquest show and shine is a monthly event as well.
If any of the CF members are there next month I will be driving my 65 Vette.

I went to the TCA car show Saturday. Was a very good show with lots of Vettes and some other cars. Probably the best TCA car show to date.

Wondering if any C8 coupe owner in the San Antonio/Boerne area might be willing to take me for a brief ride to see how the wind buffeting is at highway speeds.
I'm 99% certain I am buying a HTC but I havent had a chance to ride in a coupe. I dont need the trunk space so only reason to spend 8k more on HTC is if wind buffeting in coupe is severe enough.
I drove to Houston to lay eyes on a C8 in my chosen color (Thanks again Mark!!), so this is the final bit of data I need, hopefully before my allocation comes up.
Please PM if you can help a fellow Texan out.

Just saw a pretty good size car show at Biff Busby on Sunday afternoon. Seemed to be just a show up and talk kind of thing. It is bigger than the ones on Friday night. I didn't know about Sunday afternoon until today.
It was hot!!
