I would be more inclined to Hobbes suggestion. Weekends for me are usually packed with around the house/project stuff and I would prefer to get together early in lieu of having to stop what I'm into for something in late afternoon or early evening.

I'm just south of Denton and wouldnt mind checking places out that are on the east side of I35E....no real desire to fight traffic going anywhere west.
When I used to do them for the 350z guys we did them every couple months and had a pretty high turn out. We used to meet at bone daddy's in grapevine because they had a huge parking lot.

Look at the Biscuit Bar in Plano off 121, google map satellite. Seems to have a decent size parking lot. Opens at 8
I could eat a few biscuits and then run next door to the brewery!
