Are y'all trying to tempt me into playing hooky Friday afternoon? I only work 8 miles from the hotel, and can almost see TMS from my work.

Looks like fun! Too bad the cruise is going to be a little shorter due to the ranch being closer to TMS.

The Lone Star Corvette Club would like to invite you to Texas Premier Corvette event, the 25th Anniversary of the Lone Star Corvette Classic 2014. The event will be held May 16th - 18th 2014 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth Texas.

Activities include a police escorted cruise to a mystery destination for dinner and entertainment, both a Judged and Show N Shine Car Show under the track grandstands, and Track Day on the infamous Texas Motor Speedway that includes laps on the big Oval and Road Course along with an hilarious Golf Cart Derby.

If that's not enough, you're welcome to test your driving skills with a challenging Autocross on Friday or your map reading with a Treasure Run. For those of you who are a little more laid back, there will be both live and silent auctions, a large variety of automotive vendors and, of course, good food.

All proceeds go toward supporting the Clubs three charities, Speedway Children's Charities, The National Corvette Museum, and a rotating charity that is chosen each year.

For more information visit: www.LoneStarCorvetteClub.com.
So as an individual, is this event for anyone or just car clubs? I'm new to the forum and have been watching some threads but so far haven't seen a club in my area that I would care to be part of.

Looks like a nice place but rolling with 100 vettes thru downtown Fort Worth was pretty cool.

Sure, you bet, Hell yeah, why not. Right? No, don't risk it, as an individual. Might be risky, as an individual... Just show up. You'll be glad you did. What year is your Pinto, btw?

Unfortunately, it's now looking like I'm only going to be able to attend on Sunday. Got a "job opportunity" to instruct and give ridealongs for an exotic car experience in San Marcos on that Friday and Saturday. I'll book it back to Ft. Worth as soon as that's over, though.
