Would like to thank the kind folks we met on this cruise that made us feel very welcome and part of the group. We had an absolute blast and already looking forward to next year. We just showed up at the host hotel with the torch red 95 the evening prior and now we got the scoop on the places to get great food for next time. Thanks again, Pete and Connie.

I have not looked at dates yet for this year depends on OU football and the weather. Based. on 2013 looks like we should go last week in Oct or first week in Nov.

That is always a fun run. We have done a Talimena 500 a few times out of North Texas. There and back in one day!

This drive offers fantastic views and a great road to enjoy your Corvette. We will do it again.

That is perfect if the changing colors of the trees is what you would like to experience. I'd go any time of year regardless just to do the curves in the hills. That asphalt was smooth, the bikers knew that too. Looking forward to transiting that region on the way to and from Hot Springs Corvette Weekend the first weekend in May!

I'm working on a Talimena Fall Foliage Tour for members of our Red River Corvette Club. Dates would be November 1-2. Lodging for Saturday evening would be the Best Western Traders Inn (Poteau,OK)
If anyone else would like to join the fun, post your thoughts here. The more, the merrier!

I was hoping all of us could book rooms at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge on the Talimena Drive but read that it was closed for refurbishment, until 2015.

Just booked my room at the Best Western in Poteau for Saturday night in the first weekend in November! Will try to get a group from the Oklahoma City/Norman/Edmond/Newcastle area to meet at Lloyd Noble parking lot Saturday morning, cruise down Hy 9 to Seminole, Wewoka, Holdenville, maybe McAlester or Talihina for lunch then into Poteau for dinner at the steak place downtown early Saturday evening.
