Default (Austin) Cruise-in this weekend (June 8-9th)...

Anyone in the Austin area up for a Cruise-In this weekend? I was thinking of maybe cruising out to Lockhart or Elgin for some good BBQ then maybe taking in a scenic drive? Let me know what you guys think.

I'm up for it. I actually came to Southwest looking for something like this. If I didn't find it I was gonna post one. :D

The 8th is my anniversary, so the 9th would probably be a better.

Chris, Congrats!

Everyone, How does the 9th sound? I was thinking about taking 79 to 95 out to 290 in Elgin and eating lunch then maybe heading out 95 for a cruise around Lake Granger or something like that.

wish I could join ya'll.

A couple weeks ago my buddy and I took a nice cruise in the vert to Llano. Went from 360 to 290 to 71 thru Llano to 29 and back to Burnet. It's a real nice route, with LOTS of high-speed opportunity. I highly recommend it, even though it's a little long (like 120 miles and 2 hrs).

Eric,

What happened with Wes' clutch? Was it just low on fluid?

If I can get my manifold back from the guy who's bead-blasting it, get it back on and the distributor back in, I'll go (given my mechanical skills, I'm guessing that's about a 50/50 proposition). Probably have to meet ya'll there--I'll be coming up from San Marcos.

Oh, yeah, and I vote for Lockhart--I do love Kruetz's. Though if you gentlemen like something tamer (say, something that actually comes with forks and sauce), it's hard to beat the Salt Lick. . . .

*sigh* you guys have fun, I would love to join you but right now I'm in the middle of sanding down my floor pans and I have half of the interior ripped out, that and it doesn't run too reliably yet, hopefully I will be in better shape to join you next time. ;)

Yeah, his fluid was low just as Gordon suspected. We filled it up, pumped the pedal and shes running better than ever now!

That sounds good to, Kruetz's is my favorite BBQ, love those pork chops!!! Hope you get to make it.

Shall we vote on where we go? Lockhart or Elgin?

Hmm...Lockhart BBQ or Elgin Sausage.

You know...I don't really care. Just point me in the right direction and I'll eat. :D

I am here. I don't know what I have going on for the 9th but I might be able to do something. I think I am out for the 8th due to the fight but I it depends on what time you want to head out.

I'm a bit paranoid about this...
