Hmmm, math time:

Let's assume you can get 50 drivers on the track at once: $1000 each for all day

Let's say you can get 10 hours out of a day, and drivers get 1 hour blocks.

That's as many as 500 drivers, at a cost of $100 per hour each.

...

Profit!

Default Sat Sept 15th Sharks and Stingrays, Rudys 620+2222

11-2pm, I will be collecting gift cards for the Austin Childrens Shelter as I have for the last 5 years. At 2pm I will be heading over there to deliver the gifts... Unlike Brown and Blue Santa, which collects toys for smaller children, most of the kids at the shelter are 11-older, so gift cards so they can take the kids shopping, movie theatres, etc, are in demand. Thanks for you support over the years!!!!

This seems puzzling...last time I was at the Oasis there did not seem to be enough parking for this event (when you consider the usual Sunday crowd there). Also I recall that much of the parking was on a gravel lot. What am I missing here??

I don't know when you were last at the Oasis. They have a pretty big paved parking lot and a 4 story parking garage. Great place for this type of event. This photo was taken there earlier this year in the parking lot. The large structure to the left is the garage.

Based on their site the limit is 24 people. Almost $2,100 per person

SCCA and few other groups will be running there with more than 24 people. Most open spots are filled from what I gathered during the COTA's Christmas Shennigans, and all open dates for 2013 are booked, at least for car clubs and HPDE's.

I've never run the sisters with more than 12 cars. Usually 3 to 4 is the optimal group size for a spirited run. This will be interesting...
