It's an offer from MHC, only if we want it. NO big deal

The Lone Star Corvette Club does a great job. Every event flows smoothly and starts/ends on time. Not an easy thing to pull off with the numbers of Vettes they handle every year!

Sunday track events at Texas Motor Speedway are the icing on the cake!
it's a good event, sadly the last few years the speeds going to breakfest have been faster than speeds on the big oval track. iIt was a lot more fun when we could run more than 70 mph.

That is not the Lone Star Classic, that is Texas Motor Speedway. Their track their rules.

I agree the car show shouldn't take the blame. But, I will not do that event this year though. It was just plain boring driving around the track after waiting 30-45 minutes in line. The rest of the weekend is still a blast and will not let this one thing discourage my fun in the least.

We're looking forward to seeing y'all in May. Expect several changes for the better. If I understand right, the Friday night cruise will start inside TMS.
The Saturday banquet should be better this year also. During the awards, the Casino Night will start across the hall.

I never blamed Lone Star for the track speeds, I know the track makes the rules about the speeds. We have been going to this event for 10 years and it's sure not what it used to be. 3 years ago I was right behind the pace car and did 142 mph on the back strech one lap, the next two years was 70 mph. The most we ever had was taking the MAKE A WISH kids for rides, those kids were AWESOME.

BTW, UNLIMITED SPEED in the advanced class on the infield road course on Sunday, if you're good enough, safe enough and know how to do it. And, if you're not experienced in road course racing then the Classic is a good place to start. Total Driving Experience will put on a free Road Course Driving Seminar on Friday. I have driven the infield course the last 3 years and got all the speed I could handle. But this year I'm bringing the Vert so I can get Jim Bacon to take a photo on the Nascar oval. I think he will also be taking photos on Friday at the Marriott.

I was in the car with Glen 2 years ago, and it was a wild ride.

I second this statement! My first year I was hitting 140+ on the oval but that was nothing compared to the road coarse. The speeds might not be as high but it's one hell of a lot more more fun.
