Default Vettes @ Houston Coffee & Cars

I made it out to Houston Coffee & Cars last Saturday, 8-6-11, and there were some amazing cars out there.

It was extremely hot too.

It was nice to see such a large gathering of exotics.

The new Fiats were fun to watch, glad to see they have a following.

The Ferraris and Lambos...well what can you say, wish I had the cash.

Most of the makes were grouped together for the most part.

Perhaps in the following meets at Houston Coffee & Cars the Vettes can group together some more.

This way the forum members can meet and greet each other more easily.

It would be good to gather up by the Trust Bank side of the large parking lot, there is some shade there.

I guess we need to take some orange cones and save spots for fellow vette owners.

Let's see what happens next time...I will try to make it out there early to save some spots and meet some of you guys in the H-town area.

I don't remember seeing any GTOs in that area of the parking lot, but I may be wrong.

Well any area as long as we can group together.

This would make it easier for people to head out together to other eating places or gatherings.

I hope this works out for us.

BYOC, bring your orange cone. lol

There is the Urban Speed car meet this coming Sunday and we can try this out there too.

Just trying to think of activities where Houston area forum members can gather as well as other Vette owners from out of the area who may be visiting our city.

Are people meeting up at Otto's on 59 South near Sugarland, TX on Saturday nights?

I made similar comments and I got the impression the majority of folks are unwilling to actually get organized for this.

I agree though.... it's not that hard. Look at all the other people who parked together. There were easily 15-20 Camaro guys all parked together because someone(s) got there early and held the spots.

The problem with holding the spots is that everyone would have to be there by 7am - 7:15am to grab all the saved spots or else people will start getting pissy as the parking lots fill up rather quickly.

I would gladly volunteer my time/effort to help with this as well. I've done it with other car groups I've been associated with and it works out well.

I didn't mind getting caught among the exotics.

Vince is probably the fastest car in that line up. Both in a straight line or in the corners. Congrats on showing them what performance looks like Vince. Just don't show them our cheap *** looking interiors, GM plastic...ugh.

That's funny and probably true. Ride height is comparable, but the meats on the back of the Z defintely trumps any one of those (three Ferraris and a Porsche).

But I would still take a Ferrari (not to replace the Z, but to supplement the stable).
