Bill Heard in Houston sucks!!! BIG TIME.
I dropped off my car @ 8 o'clock in the morning and described the erratic fuel gauge reading problems with my car to service writer. For some reasons, he popped the hood to look around and notices that I have nitrous hooked up.
At noon I called to find out the status of my car and he say they won't be able to replace the anything because there isn't a DTC code and can't reproduce it after putting more than 50 miles on it :cuss . I specifically explained to them that it is a known problem and there even is a GM bulletin out for it. They told me if I want to get it fixed, I have to leave my car there for an undetermined number of days until they can reproduce it (yeah    ...so they can joy-ride my car for several more hundred miles).
After going back and forth with the tech and service writer for several minutes, I felt that it was not going anywhere so I told them I'm just going to pick up my car. When I arrived to pick up the car, the service writer, his manager and the tech told me they have completely voided ALL the warranty on my car because of nitrous and I won't be able to get ANY warranty work at any Chevy dealer from now on. What a joke! I laughed and asked them if they can put that in writing? And they won't. I DIDN'T THINK SO.:reddevil
They are just so full of it. :bs :U :U Bill Heard. They wanted to void ALL my warranty completely because of nitrous but yet went ahead and joy-ride my car for more than 50 miles knowing ahead it has nitrous. :mad
I chose not to take off the nitrous before taking the car in because it was too much hassle and I wouldn't care if they void the warranty on the motor, transmission, clutch, rear-end and such related items....
Sorry for the long rant. I feel much better know. Life is just too short, so I'm moving on and will take it to another reasonable Chevy dealer. Wait a minute, isn't that an oxymoron? Is there such thing as a reasonable Chevy dealer?

Sounds a bit overzealous to me Tuan. :yesnod:
First off they have to prove that the N20 (or any aftermarket mod) caused the damage before the warranty on any specific portion (drivetrain etc).
As for the fuel gauge, most competent dealers already know about this
TSB.
Find another service dept....quick!

Yeah, did you see the post about the other Bill Heard/Landmark dealer - I think in Fla, doing the same to a guy a couple of weeks ago? Sorry, but these guys are the biggest h o r s e s in the business, and that is pretty well documented. There was an article in the Wall Street Journal several years ago saying that their dealerships practice advertising methods that would be illegal in many states. I have seen their tactics in person. Not a pretty site.
Sorry about your problems Tuan. Hope you find someone to take car of it.

I complained on my Customer Satisfaction survey about their practices causing many buyers to go out of town/state, including myself. They (GM) called me about this and I gave them an ear full. Suggest we all do this when we can.

Sorry to hear this and thanks for the heads up. I've been told they have a great Service Tech there. Its too bad their service management is so poor.

Chevy will sure hear from me. Hopefully they will do something when they receive enough complaints for this dealer.

Don't know about Bill Heard but have witnessed and have heard many horror stories about LandShark.
I think I'd {represses strong gag reflex} go buy a Ford before I bought something from LandShark.

Unfortunately Bill Heard's 5 Chevy dealers sell more chevys than any other dealer group anywhere...by far. Hell, 3 of his are ranked in the top 10. 2 in the top 5 in the nation. He is untouchable. Chevrolet worships him. Don't even try to do business with them, go elsewhere

Aren't LandShark and Bill Horror are owned by the same people? That's what I heard.

Don't really know. It'd be nice to know the answer for future buying decisions. Anyone?

I went to Bill Turd's lot in Sugarland to look at Tahoes (for the wife). They were hard sell. You couldn't even drive into the lot without them assigning a saleman to you. For tactics like that and what they did to a fellow forum member......... they can suck my crankshaft!
p.s. my wife LOVES her new Eddie Bauer V-8 Explorer.

I'm thinking of filing some complaints against them with the BBB.

Send a letter to Wil Cooksey, the Corvette Plant manager in Bowling Green.
This months Corvette Fever magazine has a nice article on his Z06's and how he added nitrous to the '01.

Sorry to hear about the situation...
I don't know anything about the service side of Bill Heard... but the 2 salesmen I talked with when searching for my new Vette were awesome. The one guy at Landmark was good too... didn't give me any CRAP because of age and being right out of college.
Alan Samuels Chevy can get the FINGER!!!! :boxing :mad

Re: Bill Heard in Houston sucks!!! BIG TIME. (darkmercury)
Sorry Tuan :(
There aren't many positive comments about any of our local dealers...especially when it comes to service. I have'nt had mine at a dealer since the column lock malfunctioned in '99.
My sister just bought a Vette from Kerry @ Bill Heard. He was VERY cool...100% honest and to the point, no BS. Very refreshing considering the salessharks that attack the second you drive into the lot. Kerry even said he thought that was ridiculous.
I hope you get some satisfaction soon :yesnod:
