I'm headed to Ft. Sam Houston and I'll be there from Feb 1st to April 4th. Who's local and are there any good meets or anything? Maybe you all could show me around the area.

There's a get-together every Friday at Biff's Burgers off I-35 North and Toepperwein Rd. And another gathering every Saturday night at Hwy151 and Potranco Rd at the Big's gas station on the corner.

Also at the end of March about 100 miles south east from San Antonio the Texas Mile will be run and will be lots of fun

Are those meets Corvette only, or all kinds of cars? Either way, when I get there and find out what my schedule is like I'd sure like to meet up with some of you if I can and hang out a little bit.

The Friday and Saturday night GTG's are pretty much any cars. Hot rods, Vettes, Classics etc. It's a good time, come on out.

Corvette only... I wouldn't get to take the Thundering Turd out if that were the case.

There are very few marque-exclusive shows or GTG's in San Antonio because the car hobbyist community isn't that big for a city of this size (due to socioeconomic factors). Even the annual Corvette show is open to all makes. The Mustang show is open, too...
