Guess I'll start off the new thread and let you guys know that I finally got a Valentine 1 radar detector today! Pretty excited about it. Can't wait for a group drive to get a little more confidence in it.

I got a buddy that has a 02 z06. He is struggling to make the payments. I am thinking about buying it. Maybe flip it. Drive it for awhile. What do you all think I could sell it for? It is that dark blue. Good condition. 67k miles.

I'm going to KC this weekend but we need to get out before it's too cold.
My buddy with the green C4 put his hard top on and wanted to see how much stiffer the handling was. Found out his car wouldn't hold 60mph around a 25mph corner in this temperature. Except for the grass he mowed spinning through the field, he and the car were fine. Sorry to rat you out Jeff but it had to be told.

I can show you how they work. They are tricky at first, I almost sent mine back thinking the LEDs were going out. I have a manual if you dont. I like the arrows! They are great radars but they dont pick up everything.

I have no defense on the "mowing" incident...out of practice I guess since my last two vehicles were trucks. I do much better on 4x4 trails. I had my 22 year old son in the car with me and after cleaning our shorts and cleaning the grass off the car everything was great. I can show you the road out by Collinsville if you are interested.

Well, after a killer day of tuning yesterday it's fixed!!!!! Randy and I can breath a little easier now! The magical number in the end was 2.26grams p/cyl. After we got below that, no more code 1278 and no more Reduced Power Mode. God what a relief. The car is faster than ever before and no worries of it hitting REP anymore. We had it locked in 3rd gear on a concrete highway and as it built the boost the tires couldn't hold it anymore @ over 70mph It's a handful in these cooler temps.
No the new problem....
The LPE fuel pump can't keep up. It starts loosing fuel psi around 5500rpm and I'm talking quick! Time for a badboy fuel system!

If it was my UPS hub, I'd go knock some heads for ya Chris.
Lookin to set those shift points around 5900rpm or so, but catchin that rpm is much harder than you think. We have it set to shift at 5k rpm and it will hit the rev limiter at 6400 before a shift with no traction. But we have ideas. Right now I'm so f'n happy to have nailed down the 1278.
