I so wanted to go!!!!!!! Looks like a great turn out and a lot of fun. Great Pics. Thanks for representing & sharing!
This weekend was the Navy Drill Weekend at the JRB - Had to work and provide support to our Reservist. Plus we had our command inspection this week and CPO Induction, otherwise I would have been there with ya'll.
Next time I going, even if I have to put a leave chit in.

When I talked to Maverick he was unsure if they would do it again.
Takes 10 months to organize. He said there would definitely not be one next year. I was sorry to hear that since it was a lot of fun, hopefully the Corpus Christi Corvette Club will do it again and soon!

Maverick
It was a fantastic event Maverick, a phenominal job putting this event together. If you can get 325 corvette owner from all over (even from MN) to come down for one weekend, detail their car 2-3 times with in 24 hours, get them out of bed at 4:30 AM, in the pouring rain and humidity and squeeze everyone onto a dark slippery carrier deck etc. etc. That is just down right awsome in my book. The best part, I'd say everyone enjoyed it and proud to be a part of it. Again, thank you and your entire staff soo much for doing this.
Here are a few pictures and videos (tried not to duplicate others) that I'd like to share with this great community.

What a great time. I'll get some pics up later.
To answer some of the questions. 286 cars made it on board this time. That means 39 were no shows, presumably due to weather. We had dinner with Maverick on Saturday and he said the captain was asking about doing it again in two years. Here's hoping!
Cool parking spots under the wings were done the prior night with local club members who were volunteers. That way they could take their time and get them parked without damaging cars/equipment. Otherwise, those next to the planes were just the "lucky" ones. I got parked between the F-18 and the edge of the deck in a huge spot. Kind of tucked away, but shady and breezy! Lucky me!!!! (I'm the blue Z06 with black wheels and hood up in Sal's pics above).
It was a great time. Can't wait to make a third trip in the future!
