Hopefully my ZR1 will be finished by then from being modified (again). I need to get an enclosed trailer for this event.

I'll be there. Registration is full though, so I will just be watching .

We should set up a drive down there from Austin.

I'll be watching too but with my belt still slipping I wouldn't have made much of a run anyways. Can't believe how this event has grown the past few years.

You know, we ought to just make another here in Texas somewhere. It couldn't be hard.
Is this airstrip in Goliad still active?

Yeah, I was there 2 years ago and Lord willing will be there in about a month as I am registered, man how time flies.

It still only accepts 160 entries. BUT, on sunday when most leave they let walk ins run. Dont know the details on how that works, but last time on Sunday afternoon you could almost do hot laps.

FYI I have talked to the tech guys and supposedly they will NOT let you run over 190mph in a coupe without a 4 pt roll cage, unlike last time.

That would be nice. That particular strip is not active, although the other leg of it is.

Car traps 140mph in the 1/4 but I have never run the mile before. I will be one of the few NA guys out there. Looks like alot of 996/997tt going.

I may be up for a day-trip down there if anyone wants to convoy from Austin. Is Saturday the big day? I *think* it's around a ~1.5hr drive one-way from ATX iirc.
