Default Santa Fe, NM 12 July - Corvette Cruise & Picnic

On July 12, 2009, "The Old Santa Fe Trail Corvettes" will host the Eighth Annual "Corvette Cruise and Family Picnic" at Hyde Memorial State Park, in Santa Fe.

It was awesome last year (and the year before). See last year's CF thread here.

I just received an email from Bill Hon of Old Santa Fe Trail Corvettes, and he said we can start registering now. I would do it as soon as possible, as they had a limit of 225 cars last year.

Go here to register.

I'm sure we'll meet up and caravan from Albuquerque to Santa Fe like we did last year.

Last year the Rio Grande Corvette Club coordinated a meet at the Tramway on-ramp to I-25 at 0800. I think we are doing this again--will know more after our monthly meeting this Thursday. I will post confirmation Thursday evening.

If you want to caravan up with the Rio Grande Corvette Club, we will be departing from the Tramway on-ramp to I-25 at 0730.

We will line up on the far right side of the ramp, just like last year.

This Sunday!

I am registered for the rally and so is my friend. I live nearby. I would like to take some pictures, when will we all be leaving from Tramway?

Also how long does this usually last? 7:30 is early for me, and I know the motorcade in Santa Fe is at 9:30...how long does that last?

PS: I am down for lunch at Blue Corn Cafe.

the motorcade might start at 9:30 but that's just going to the mountains. after getting there and eating/mingling, people start leaving about 1:30 or 2-ish

lunch is provided at hyde park. hamburgers and other good stuff.

Event is the same time. We left at 0800 last year, and were at the rear of the pack when we left for Hyde Park. We decided to leave earlier so we may get better positioning at Hyde Park--most of us ended up way in the back in the dirt area.
