The guys in my neighborhood have been working like crazy, but still no power.

The good news is that I'll be out of town this weekend, so I won't care!

Default Forum brother needs help

Hey Folks,

Forum brother Jed/Michele Blanks are in need of our help. His house had 4ft of water, and they lost most everything.

This Saturday, {Crankshaft} is putting a crew together to go down to their home, mostly get some sheetrock out, move furniture into a pod, and help get some things cleaned up at 8am. From I-45 south take exit 11 turn right on Duroux and head west to 2506.

If you have some time, and are interested in helping, please e-mail Greg {Crankshaft} at Gmpledger@cs.com

Thanks, Bill

I don't think I'd be much help with moving things...but would be glad to help with cleaning. However.........what is this 8 am thing?

KIDDING!!!!!

I'll email Greg.

Emailed him. Gonna ask my kiddo and her friends (although getting them up that will would take a miracle) and also the rest of "my gang." Surely 2 or 3 will help. ha

If Kenneth doesn't have to go out of town on business...we will definitely try to make it down. That's the least we could do since we were so blessed with absolutely no damage.

I will shoot Greg a email.

You lucky dog! Box up some of that cold air and bring it to my house.
Oh well, it has helped me loose some weight
Maybe we will get our power back today.

Got my Internet back ( for now!), been running on gen power since day one. Back when Rita hit I went and got a gen big enough to power the Bunkhouse and my well, converted it to propane and hooked it up to my 500 gallon tank.
I have felt really guilty that we've had it so easy. My brother in law is in Kuwait and he and his family live in Tiki Island. Her and the kids are staying with us, however we're getting her place back running pretty quickly, she only lost her down storage and the stairs to her house.

My friend in Galveston didn't fare very well, he got about 5-6 feet of water in his house, and we just finished doing a major remodel of the house about a year ago, along with all new furniture. Saturday we spent all day salvaging what we could and getting all of the carpet and rugs out.

The 04 Victory red Vette 13,000 miles) was left in the garage... it has a refrigerator sitting on top of it.
