Default Just added a C3 to the family!!!!

Thanks to all of those that sent PM's and e-mails. I had prepared myself for a long search that would include looking at several different rotten apples before finding the right car, but our search is quickly over.

We found our new car two nights and brought her home today. We are now the proud 3rd owner of a 1973 Metallic Yellow with saddle interior.

The car is originally from CA. The second owner put the car through a frame off restoration, including body, paint work and suspension. Options include power windows, brakes, steering, and AC (Must have for Texas ). No rock chips, no wind noise, no rattles, everything works correctly except for the clock. I still can not believe our luck.

The motor is not the original block. It had been replaced by the time the second owner got the car. The second owner had the motor rebuilt as a 383, but dressed out as stock.

Here are some shots:

Dang Jim, you're starting quite a Vette collection. That's a beauty. I love the C3's with the roof sail panels and recessed back window.

I can't help but grin. When I got rid of my last boat (32 Active Thunder) my wife basically told me I could spend as much money as I wanted on my Corvette because it would never come close to what we spent boating. Looks like you're giving it a good try! The big difference is you won't be losing money on those cars

Nice cars!

Nice!

I'm really getting a case of the 'wants' for an early c3.

Nice cars!

You know the funny part is that I got into the cars after agreeing with the wife to sell the 31' Sonic 31SS. Unlike the boat we have not been stranded so all is good so far
