Iron Chef here busting in on Fox's thread...PLEASE READ THE MESSAGE THAT I RECEIVED FROM SAVEWAVE REGARDING THE DRIVE!

Quote:
Be forewarned, I-40 has become a targeted major drug interdiction route by local, state and federal LEOs. Not sure what it's like between Little Rock and Memphis, but there are several unmarked black SUVs with dark tinted windows that work I-40 between Exits 20 and 25 every day.

The technique is to pull over as many people as possible on traffic offenses so they, then, can search their cars. So, that means they are showing zero tolerance for traffic offenses.
Thanks Jim. As they say, forewarned is forearmed.

The morning we depart, I'll provide some directions, information and phone numbers.

Keep checking back on this post for more updates.

If you want to eat Roscoes food on Thurs/Fri, YES, you need to send him the money now.

You also need to register for the CI. The road trips are already full from what I hear.

Corvette Plant tours require tickets/reservations too....The Plant is Closed on Friday so I don't know if you can still get a ticket/reservation for the tours or not....You better call now, I bet it's impossible to get in once you are there....

Hi Mary - this is Ann, the Wylie of Taz & Wylie, We were able to get a room at the Baymont - just waiting for Lewis's dispatcher to decide whether he gets the time off. Once I know for sure, i will contact you and find out all the stuff we need to do. Thanks so much

See?? That was easy...and knowing Lewis's boss(I do ), he'll be able to get the time off....don't give it a 2nd thought... Ann, you need to register with the Museum here for the event: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/regist...rum/info.shtml

You only have to register for the events if you are doing them...I'm sure the road trips are already full...I registered and got the T-shirt...I'll watch the races, and am doing the assembly plant tour on Thursday(Still waiting in Elio to let me know if he is going or not)

Then, Decide if you both want to eat with Roscoe and if so, order food here:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1919666

I'm down for Thursday and Friday...I'm sure there are other places to get food if I need it too...I've heard from everyone you gotta do the Roscoes thing...

I'll fill you in on where we are all going to meet up at in Arlington early on the morning of the 21st..I'm booked same hotel as the two of you....See? I didn't sell you a Car...I sold you a Life ADVENTURE, hahahahaha!!!

Default C5 Owners Please Read...

Hey folks...for those of you with C5's...I want to bring up something that happened to me last year. On the way home from Cruise-In, my gas gauge suddenly dropped to empty. Turns out that this is a common problem with C5's where the senders get gummed up with sulfur deposits. It took a good six months for the problem to clear itself out.

I have no proof of this, but it's my suspicion that the sulfur content in the fuel in Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky is higher than it is here in Texas. I suspect that the fuel MAY have cause my senders to go wonky. I'm lucky it fixed itself because if it didn't, I was looking at between $1200-$1700 to repair it.

I'm going to take a few bottles of Techron in the car to dump in the tank as a precaution, since that is what I used to help clean the senders before.

Again...this is NOT scientific...it's just my hunch and I thought I'd throw it out there like Good Sam, you know?
