Default New Race Track

Just an FYI. There is a new Formula One style track being built about 15 miles from here on FM 51 just south of the FM 455 intersection in Slidell! 441 acres purchased by David Cook of Southlake ( he was the one who started Blockbuster). 2.5 mile track, plans to have it sanctioned by Formula One's governing body, Federation Internationale De L'Automobile. Should be nice.

Rick,

Awright! When i lived in England I was 15 miles from Silverstone and went to the F1 ( and many others!) races there in the late 70's. - Saw Mario, John Watson, Nikki Lauda, others- Watched Nigel Mansel go from F3 up - that is racing!

How you been? Going back to TMS for TDE in MAy? I will pass on this one, but might try the fall run.

Will you check out the NASCAR race this weekend? I was in Denton yesterday to see my daughter - lots of people at the track already!

Hope all is well with you.

Dave

Dave,
Doing well, I'm stoked about this track, maybe they need a medical director! I'm going to try to make TMS but not sure if I can. Not going to NASCAR this weekend. Give me a shout next time you're up this way.

It's all good, F1 in DFW, I'm there. Anyone going to the Indy race at TMS?
