ok..i really want to cruise lime creek. but i have been very busy lately. lets plan this for next month some time. id like to cruise it first but i dont know where it is exactly. all i do know is that it is a relatively short drive. so we probably need to plan a good route there and back.

Here's a possible route for the Lime Creek Cruise:

1. San Antonio to San Marcos to Kyle.... Exit 213 on RR 150.
2. Take a left on RR 150 and continue toward H-290/Dripping Springs.
3. At H-290/Dripping Springs, continue straight (north) on RR 12, eventually taking a right on RR 3238 toward Bee Cave/71.
4. At Bee Cave, take a left (north) on RR 620. Remain on RR 620 cruising along lake.
5. Continue toward Four Points. At Four Points, take a left on Bullick Hollow Rd.
6. Continue toward Cypress Creek County Park. Take a left on RR 2769.
7. Continue on RR 2769, it will eventually become Lime Creek Rd.
8. Take Lime Creek road along lake, eventually reaching RR 1431.
9. Take a right on 1431 toward I-35.
10. Take I-35 back home to San Antonio

=============

That's one route. I've never driven the roads, so i don't know the road conditions. Another possible route is just taking H-281 north till we reach H-290. Take H-290 east toward RR 12 / Dripping Springs/ RR 71/ I-35/Austin. Make our way from there to the lake.

I guess we'll have to wait for someone to chime in about that. i have absolutely no idea. Also, the round trip is 224 miles if the cruise starts at 1604 & 281.

I'll be doing this on Saturday...so I was shooting to make up something by the 23rd for the local folks, but a lot of folks will be doing the TCA car show that weekend so I thought we could wait a week or so? I was looking at something going out Bulverde Road....I just haven't been home much to mess with it, as work now has me traveling again

I have an atlas map of where I was thinking of going, but I would have to drive it to make sure I knew where I was going before I agree to lead folks out on something like that.

This other run idea looks good...

Oh, and if you want twisties...Lime Creek has some pretty good ones. The rest of the run looks pretty rural...so you might want to check out the conditions of the roads before we head out....some of them can be pretty rocky and in low water crossings.
