Default My first Corvette (Phoenix)

Hello all!

I just bought my first corvette, 1999 Torch Red Conv 6spd. I am loving it!

Ony 1 problem, the swaybar bushings are making the vette creak like heck... ( i think that is what is wrong, when I go over dips and speed bumbs it creaks loud)

Does anyone know of a good shop that can fix it for me in the Phoenix area? Also any ideas on what it should cost.

Thanks a million!

The bushings tend to be noisy when it is cold. A little dielectric grease spray on them quiets them down.

I'm sure Mike at AZ Power and Sound could help you out. You'll probably find the below link helpful in more than one way.

The AZ Corvette Forum members have a group called "A.C.E." The Arizona Corvette Enthusiasts, and we have a local Web site you should check out:

We have a big event coming up in February on the 18th. Our 4th annual Gila Bend BBQ & cruise. Here's the info:

Welcome James!!

I see that everyone above has posted the link to A.C.E. already. We will be out at Arizona Power and Sound this Saturday for their Grand Opening. There will be a car show, open house of the facilities and more. I highly recommend that you stop on by if you have the time.

AZ Power and sound is located 1 block east of 10th Place and 52nd street in Tempe. Coming from Surprise you could take the 10 East to the 202. Take 202 east to the 143 South. Get off at University and head east. At the Quick Trip station turn and head south to 10th place. From there it will be 1/2 block to the east. The festivities start around 10 a.m. and will go most of the day.

Hope to see you there.

You can get all new urethane bushing kits if the spray grease doesn't cut it for you. Welcome to the forum!
