Need some help. My bud has a 6spd and wants to get the skip shift mod. He lives in the Frisco-Plano area?

Do you have the part? If not, order it. It's a 10 minute install if you do it yourself, and that includes jacking up the car and taking it off the jacks when you're done. You didn't say what model you have; I have a C5 and it's just that easy.

It turns out that the vendor I got mine from is apparently gone, but I'm sure you can pick one up via mail order pretty cheap.

Very simple to do yourself - just get the rear of the car high enough to slide yourself under. If you need help, let me know. Does he want to do it this weekend? Or has he not ordered the part yet?
