After taking the month of August off, it's been nearly a two month layoff for the WCCC. Well now it's time to get back into the mix...

The next WCCC event is Saturday September 18th at LACR. The LACR track entry/tech card fee is $20 for car & driver, and $10 for each additional crewmember. WCCC registration fees continue to be $15. The event schedule is as noted below:

Noon: Gates open / tech inspection opens
2:00 PM: Time trials
4:00 PM: Eliminations

See you all at the track on the 18th.

Alcee - What happened to your trans? ...is it repairs due to failure or are you just doing improvements and a converter?...and who is doing the trans. work for you?

Either way, I hope it's repaired to your satisfaction, and hope to see you at the track on the 18th.

Looks Like I have found a more reasonable source for trailer rentals. (A place that actually says a 5.3L Tahoe with a factory class III hitch can safely tow a Corvette. )

Well dave, basically I had a failure in my tranny, my shaft broke, so I got the shaft replaced but I wanted to get a new/better tranny, so I ordered a street/strip 700r4 and a vigilate 2600 stall TC from Pro-Built www.700r4l60e.com Dana said he was going to try and have it ready for me by the 18th, if not I don't wanna chance racing on the old one, if you know what I mean. The new one will handle 600hp so I don't think I have to worry about anything. I really hope he has it done so I can try it out....

My new rental trailer source tells me that there aren't any on the lot right now but they're, "...expecting one back in tonight."

Fair enough, I guess.

I've been vibe-ing all day. I hope Jesus wants me to go to Palmdale tomorrow. I've got stuff to try out that I haven't even Test & Tuned yet.

I too (at 27) was to old for that.... Had fun last night @ Fontana though (even though I showed up 4 hours late and didnt meet many of you). Anyway, any idea when the next one is scheduled for?

Seriously I was down for the count until about 6:00 P.M. with back pain. Put a thermal pack on the back, feels prety good now. Just over did it during the week.

Kathy & Pat - sorry to hear your still fighting with the diff./tranny fix.

I hope you can get it resolved in time to join us in October....only three weeks away, and according to the LACR web page, we are the only group scheduled to be there...should be lots of runs available.
