Best place to get diff installed in SF Bay

Hi, Been debating getting 3.42s for my 98 A4 vert. I'm down here in San Jose looking for a place to install the diff and tune. Any recommendations? Thanks, Darryl

check out this place i had them do my 4.09 for a zr1 and they did a good job. and it cost me about $500 this was including parts

WOW...that is a *crazy* price for gears!!! I'm gonna have to strongly consider that, now, as I'd been debating b/w cam or headers. Both were gonna take me over-budget, but this'll actually stay under! Thanks!

I always recommend Andy at A&A Corvette (forum vendor) in Oxnard. Andy is the best and a nicer guy you will never meet. He did my 3.42's and the price was extremely fair. Well worth the drive. You can call him anytime for product or service info. 805- 278 4107 (shop) 805- 479- 5885 (cell)

If that is just to far to go then I would check out Black Magic Speed and Performance in Hayward. They installed my last cam and springs as well as lifters and do quality work. You can call forum member Robert (RCswish) for more info at 510- 887 1831.

FYI...rear end specialties only does C4s. No C5s.

Let me know if there are any other local shops that you recommend.

You should check out my, "Black Magic Speed." We specialize in Corvettes and Fbodies. I did 4 C5 diff swaps this month. As a matter of fact I have a spare 3.42 in the shop now out of an 04 Z06 which we put 3.73's in. If your interested, a new converter would be a nice idea when you are in there.
