Well I made it all the way back to NJ !!! And no tickets again!!!!
Left Death Valley at 2 PM PDT, Got into Grand Junction, CO around 11 PM MDT. Was really tired and stayed there. Got up at 7, was on the road by 8 AM MDTand drove straight through all the way until just now at 2 PM EDT. 45 hours total - 9 hours down time = 36 hours of total drive time with the last 30 if it done straight through. Only stops were for gas, bathroom and drive through, usually combined into one stop.
Glad you made it home safe Jeff :D
What an animal
Karen and I already miss you Jeff, but being home with the wife is were you need to be
It was a wonderful weekend Jeff and I hope you post some pics for us all to remember you by :yesnod:
Good Luck with your job search ;)
We went to Chicago and drove the C-5 back last December. Left the dealer at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday and were in Carson City by 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and we thought we deserved the Iron Butt Award. Stayed over night in Desmoines, IA and Salt Lake City, UT.
Location: the GOCC are everywhere, even back from "band camp"

Re: SAFE AND SOUND!!! (Shag Finger)
Glad to hear you made it.
Even though you won't be on the WEST coast, you'll always be a part of the Pacific forum.
See you at the Second Annual Lone Pine/LAPD/Pizza Factory/Mt. Whitney/Death Valley Corvette Get-together?
Dang Jeff, that was one hell of a drive. Glad you made it in one piece. Bet you can't wait to take the clay bar to the car. You'll notice how tired Stan is from the weekend. He is already planning a run for September. The guy is too much. Jeff, it was a blast to run with you. I think we made 3 or 4 together. Cool stuff. I'm really gonna miss the sound of your car. Bring it and yourself back next year for the Death Valley run. You'll probably have a new car by then. This one is building the miles up. Take care my friend, and stay in touch. MRT1 :seeya
Glad to hear you made it back safely. You actually beat me back to the East Coast, and I flew here!  I arrived at JFK at 5PM on Tuesday - flying back to CA on Saturday.
How the hell did you drive 30 hours straight by yourself without falling asleep?!? That's incredible! I think you may have set a coast to coast speed record in a car with a single driver and no speeding tickets! Like someone else already said, you're an animal!
Well, we'll definitely miss you out west, but it looks like there's a very good chance I'll be joining you back east again in a few months. The startup opportunity I have on Long Island is looking very promising...

Time for bed!
Hey Jeff,
For your next trick you can try to beat the Brock Yates/Dan Gurney record of 36 hrs. 47 min. from NYC to Redondo Beach that they set in a Ferrari Daytona as part of the "Cannonball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash" (a.k.a. the Cannonball Run)! :smash:

He is an animal
We might loose another great person to the "wrong" coast
Jon, I know you gotta do what ya gotta do; but two awesome guys lost to the "wrong" coast in two short weeks is hard to take
Good Luck with your new adventure and If you feel the need to come out to the "right" coast for anything...we've got an extra room :yesnod:
:seeya Glad you made it back in one peice. I shutter everytime I go back there & Philly (from there). Only thing I miss about back there are the Hogies; I found some good Cheese Steaks here. Your always welcome back in GODs' country, we'll be looking for ya. :flag
Thanks everyone! Especially for making me feel like part of the family even though I was there for a short time. This is truly what makes me proud of being a fellow Vette owner.
I do miss it out there but the weather here is just catching up. I hope to get back out there next year for the run if I can find someone to let me ride shotgun :D
